Architectural overviews, design rationale, and ADRs. This is where we capture why the system is shaped the way it is — the constraints we hit, the alternatives we considered, the trade-offs we picked.

ADRs live under Architecture Decision Records and are dated, numbered, and immutable once accepted. New decisions get new ADRs; we don’t rewrite old ones.
